Earlier today, we had an NXT Matt Nay with Stand and Deliver.

That was the appetizer for what was to come.

Tonight, it was night one of what WWE has been promoting as the most stupendous,

it's the word they've been using the most stupendous, WrestleMania of all time.

Tonight was highlighted not by a championship match,

universal title match, WWE title match, women's title match, we had two of them on the show tonight.

Tonight, the show was highlighted and was closed out by a KO show segment with Kevin Owens and his guest,

Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Kevin Owens has had to go on television now for weeks and promote a segment of WrestleMania,

not even a match.

It's had to go and promote a segment at WrestleMania, without anybody to play off of on TV.

Every single segment that we have seen him in, he has had to do by himself,

which is not an easy thing to do.

There are actually two people on the Monday Night Raw roster who had to do that.

One was Kevin Owens and the other was Seth Rollins and we'll get to him in a second.

So, we never got to see Stone Cold on television because it wouldn't have made any sense,

of course, if he's just going to be there for an interview, why put him on Raw first?

But it just felt like this was going to be something more.

They couldn't promote this the way that they have unless this was going to be something more than just an interview and a stunner.

Austin has been very hesitant to have a match 19 years.

It has been since he wrestled the Rock, WrestleMania 19.

Almost 20 years ago.
