Solomonster reviews WWE Summerslam 2022, the first PPV under the new Triple H regime as the company embarks on a new era, creatively, without Vince McMahon in charge. Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns have a WILD Last Man Standing Match, Becky Lynch turns babyface while Bayley returns with some familiar NXT names at her side and Ronda Rousey snaps after a controversial loss to Liv Morgan. On the whole, this was one of the more enjoyable Summerslam shows in years.

0:34.8

to see changes to the creative end of this company, changes to the types of talent who

0:40.6

were pushed, changes in every facet of this company.

0:44.3

It's going to be a long-term process, right?

0:46.3

It's not going to happen overnight.

0:48.6

I don't know too many people who expected there to be too many changes that were going

0:52.2

to be noticed on the show tonight.

0:54.2

Maybe you would see a big surprise or a return or something, and what we ended up with

0:59.2

in the very first match on this show tonight, in one fell swoop, under this new administration,

1:06.7

they have completely revitalized the Raw Women's Division.

1:11.2

That was in the opening segment of this show.

1:14.8

Completely took a division that was dead and have breathed new life into it.

1:21.1

So that was a hot way to open the show tonight.

1:25.4

And actually, I thought the first couple of matches on the show were very good.

1:29.0

I thought that was a great way to open SummerSlam tonight, and then we settled into a pattern

1:33.8

where things kind of fell off a cliff.
