I didn't play with toys as a kid, I played with engines, became a mechanic's apprentice at 16,

but eventually I wanted a new challenge, so I joined the Navy and I took what I knew about cars

and applied it to destroyers. I learned to fix anything, anywhere in any situation,

If you're anything like me, you're probably thinking how on earth was Somerslam 2013

10 whole years ago? Daniel Bryan finally winning the big one, defeating John Cena,

Triple H who was the special guest referee, raising his arm in the air,

and then immediately pedigreeing him and allowing Randy Orton to cash in,

so he became world champion. But don't worry, that was all part of a long-term storyline

to lead Daniel Bryan for that epic WrestleMania 30 moment, and definitely not them going,

right, you've had your Bryan title win, who wants to see Randy Orton and Batista in the main

event of WrestleMania guys. Anyway, that's not all we're here for. Somerslam 2013 WWE roster,

where are they now? Number 19, Rob Van Dam.

Back then, RVD was brought back into the fold as a sort of legacy attraction deemed perfect

for mid-card title battles, and that's exactly what he was doing here at Somerslam,

working the pre-show with Dean Ambrose for the US title.

Nowadays, Rob is just a fully-fledged legend quite rightly being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame

in 2021, popped up a while back to help with the WWE draft, and try and make it slightly less

dull to be perfectly honest, and generally, just living his best life. Good for you, Rob.
