Hello, and welcome to the SmackDown review. I'm Adam Wilborn from WhatCulture joined by

0:14.5

the dadly boys of WhatCulture, Michael Hampler, and Michael Cigabick here to review everything

0:18.3

that happened on Friday's episode of SmackDown. But before we get into it, if you're a fan

0:23.0

of this sort of thing, make sure you subscribe to WhatCulture, resting on either iTunes, Spotify,

0:26.6

or let me get your podcast from for daily resting podcasts. Well, we're not only review

0:30.0

Raw and SmackDown, but also NXT, AWD and my pay per views. We have interviews, round table

0:34.8

discussions, and a round-up of the week, complete. We're going to let you get quiz, of course,

0:38.3

on WrestleCulture. As I said, though, joined by Hampler and Cigabick to review SmackDown.

0:42.4

It's been a long time since we've done this. What did you make of Friday Night Show, Michael

0:47.6

Hampler? Rubbish. Absolutely, Rubbish. This is not

0:51.4

contrary to, I think, luckily a dying discourse. This week's episode at very least,

0:57.0

I don't want to comment on other maybe half-decent ones. This week's episode was not a

1:01.2

broadly good show with a couple of duds. This was a mostly bad show with one or two half-decent

1:08.1

things. The best character in WWE resides on this show, and too often, for my taste, the last

1:16.4

three or four months. They've been quite lazy with that best character. I'd really quite enjoyed

1:21.9

what the best character did on this show, or the best angle. I guess best storyline and all that.

1:26.0

Otherwise, a really bad show. When we pick a part of some of this stuff, I don't feel like it's

1:31.6

going to be that different from criticising some of them from Raw. In terms of plot holes,

1:36.0

logic gaps, hideous WWE commentary, bad comedy, usual tropes, it's going to feel like

1:43.5

alarmingly similar to a Raw. One of the worst Smackdowns I've seen in a while. I'll say that.

1:48.2

I think there's been a lot of better episodes lately, but this was a good example of why this is not

1:52.9

the shining light that a lot of people maybe think Smackdown is. So this is Smackdown.
