Hello and welcome to the Smackdown preview. I'm Adam Wilborn from Whatculture, John, but... I'm a little bit of tonight's episode of Friday Night Smackdown. We have interviews, roundtable discussions and a roundup of the week complete with the buddy good quiz of course on wrestle culture. As I said, though, joined by Michael Havelett to look ahead to tonight's episode of Friday Night Smackdown. It's been a while on it.

This ain't a scene.

It's my goddamn arms face.

Not crossing my arms with frustration,

nor am I saluting,

but they're down.

They're unhappy.

I am still needing to be impressed.

I'm not going to lie to the listeners and viewers.

We have not been doing a traditional Smackdown preview these last few weeks because the

unique way peer leads are structured.

We've had Saturday's main event, clash in Italy.

We had to do one once on a Wednesday in order to protect Sidgwick from Smackdown where nothing was announced.

That wouldn't happen on an actual Friday when we sit down here on a Friday to do it. That'd be

ridiculous. We've had to cover ones that have then subsequently changed the card after the graphics have been released. Yeah. It'd be nice if they actually announced stuff that was going to be on this show. It's not felt like a particularly stable time for SmackDown. And we've also not necessarily been doing the reviews because of the afflmendant and paper views. Whatever. A little bit out of the loop, don't we?

A little bit. A little bit. Good news. We've only got three more of these after this one that are three hours. Yeah. That was their... Somebody emailed me about that. It's like, thank you for getting to another three hour... I forgot who this was. Thank you for getting through another three-hour series of Smackdowns. enjoy the two hours before they change back in at the end of the year.

Yeah.

I was like, yeah, that's the cycle we kind of have come to understand now. So I'm not going to sit here in light and say I feel fully like up to date with Smackdown. There was a period where almost in spite of ourselves, we were like really locked in. Like a lot of people had already... In the weeds. Yeah, like turn their backs on it a little bit. I've kept up with Cody and Sammy. I think that is really interesting. Otherwise, and I quite like a couple of things that we've kind of talked about a little bit over the desks before we came in to record. Otherwise, it does still feel like a show in a little bit of trouble.

Like, WWE is not having a great year creatively.
