I tell you, man, that astronaut is doing my two-hour Smackdown dance.

That's the dance I did when I learned that Smackdown was going from three hours to two hours.

And you can see why.

If you watch this show tonight, you can see exactly why.

Smackdown hasn't gotten any better, but it's an hour or less of what we had before.

So I will always do my dance.

You know, we are about a week away now from SummerSlam. Supposedly the second biggest event of the year. Does it feel like SummerSlam yet? I don't think so. Tonight Smackdown didn't do a whole hell of a lot to get this guy excited for SummerSlam. I don't know if you're in the same boat as I am,

but what I was looking forward to was face-to-face between Cody Rhodes and CM Punk, coming out of all of the drama from Saturday night's main event last weekend. And the SummerSlam kickoff event on Sunday

where punk, you know, pie faced him. I said, finally, on Friday, we're

going to get some real heat between these two. So I was looking forward most of all on this show to

the two of them in the ring and what they were going to be talking about and, you know, what

shots would be fired, so to speak, between them.

What we got tonight was actually a very tame face-to-face.

I thought that for the story they're trying to tell, which isn't really much of a story.

Let's just be honest.

But the best story that they could tell is probably what they're doing,

which is that you have two people who are friends.

They respect each other.

But as Cody Rhodes told CM Punk tonight, I don't like you.

Right?

I respect you.

You're my friend.
