And so ends one of the worst United States championship reigns of all time.

Shinske Nakamara no longer the United States champion as Smackdown goes off the air with

L.A. Knight, reclaiming the title that he never should have lost in the first place.

Yeah, I was asking myself before I sat down to do this review. I said, you know, how many

times did Nakamura even defend the title since he won it back at Survivor Series?

The answer is once. And it was against L.A. Knight. One other time.

Easily one of the worst U.S. title reigns of all time.

And we are living in an era where Logan Paul was the United States champion and had, I believe,

three title defenses in almost 300 days. So I don't know if this was necessarily worse than that,

because that was a much longer period of time but my god so that's the end of that or is it because we had something of a controversial finish

to the main event tonight first referee gets missed it in the face another referee comes out

Nakamura takes a BFT onto a chair. I'm not so sure that we're

done with these two. I'm not even sure that by the time we come on the air next week, L.A. Night is

going to be the United States champion anymore. I don't know what to think. But for the time

being, L.A. Knight is once again the United States champion.

But what tonight's show was really built around was not the U.S. title.

It was Cody Rhodes and the response to John Sina.

Cody Rhodes was betrayed by John Sina at the Elimination Chamber.

He was left for dead by the Rock, John Sina, and Travis Scott.

What would his response be tonight?

Cody Rhodes came out to the ring tonight, and he looked like he was in a fight.
