Night of Champions is in the books.

This was what we were told in advance.

Coming into the show was very likely the final match between John Sina and Siam Punk.

John Sina is done at the end of this year.

We have not had John Sina and Siam Punk in the ring one-on-one in 12 years.

So this entire show was built around this main event tonight

for the WWE championship. And, you know, when I knew that they were doing this match at night

of champions, I was actually disappointed because this to me is a SummerSlam match. Like, this is

so much bigger than just Night of Champions or Saturday Night's

Main Event or, you know, a show like that.

And the matches that they had in the past, really all of the matches that Punk and Sina

have had in the past were at least good.

Some of them are just classics.

You know, their money in the bank match,

their raw match,

they had a great Summer Slam match many years ago.

But John Sina has not had too many great matches.

Let's just put it that way.

Since he has started this retirement tour,

he is not the same in-ring performer that he was

even just five years ago.
