Coming off one of the wildest and greatest

WrestleMania made events of all time

a WrestleMania 40

this was the first raw under the triple-H era officially full creative control right he was obviously in

creative last year he did not have full control over last year show so tonight

was a Paul ofek production. And in the past we've had a lot of really

wild post-media episodes of Raw. I've had the great pleasure of being part of them

myself. I've been in some of those crowds and it got

pretty wild. This was not like those shows. Tonight's episode of R-I didn't

really know what to expect because they didn't announce anything. They left it very open-ended.

We knew that we had a new World Heavyweight champion.

We knew that we had a new WWE champion.

This is the beginning of the Cody Rhodes era.

That's all we knew coming into tonight's episode of Raw. It was not as wild as the after

manias of old. The show actually I thought peaked with the opening segment and after that it felt like a mostly

ordinary episode of Rawl didn't really feel terribly special it didn't feel like, hey, this is a different raw, it's got a different vibe or a different feel to it.

Not really after that opening segment with the rock, but I can tell you this.

There is one thing I can confidently sit here and tell you is that I was sitting in this chair a year ago

after WrestleMania 39, when Rawl went on the air that night.

And I can safely say that this show tonight

is a hell of a lot better than the one we got last year,

and that might be low praise,
