This is your WWE Fastlane 2021 review here for Sunday, March 21st, 2021. I am the Salomonster. This was the first paper review of the peacock era. How was it? I wouldn't know. I tried to watch it on peacock.

It didn't work out for me. I tried to get it to work. I have a spare laptop I used to watch these paper views so I can work on this computer, watch it on the other one.

And it wouldn't let me log into peacock. It was telling me that I had no internet connection even though I did clearly have an internet connection. So I said, you know what? The hell with this?

So I ended up watching this paper view on the network. This was the final WWE paper view on the network here in the US. The network has it currently exists. It is going away in a few weeks. And that is unfortunate. I did hear from a lot of people who had a perfectly fine experience on peacock and others, not so much.

But this was a paper view going into what I said on the podcast. I said on the prediction show. This was a completely unnecessary show.

But this was a show that was designed to work out the kinks on peacock before they move on to WrestleMania. WrestleMania obviously is going to be their crown jewel.

And if there were any issues here, they would be able to work them out. Coming off of this paper view, they would know what they need to fix. That's really I think the only reason this event even existed was to work out any of the issues that they had with people streaming on peacock.

And you could tell because there ended up being some really good matches on the show there towards the end in the in the final hour of the show.

But the show was not needed. The show was not necessary at all. The first hour of this show dragged it was it was awful. This paper view was headed into the fucking toilet after that first hour.

But then the key matches at the end of the show drew McIntyre and Shamus had a hell of a fight. They had a hell of a brawl all over the Thunderdome in a match that would have met a lot more if there was something on the line.

Unfortunately, there was nothing on the line. It was just a grudge match between two guys. Drew McIntyre had already punched his ticket to WrestleMania. And how did he do that by just announcing the fact that he would be challenging Bobby Lashley.

But they had a very good match made event Roman Reigns Daniel Bryan and outcome that I think everybody saw coming from three miles away.

But they had a very good match. So the two key matches on this show delivered everything else on this show honestly.

Pretty much bored me. And we're going to get into the Randy Orton Alexa Bliss stuff with the fiend and everything did the fiend make an appearance on this show.

I didn't think he would. I thought maybe they would hold off until WrestleMania keep people guessing about what the fiend might look like when he comes back.

But the two key matches on this show did deliver everything else was very underwhelming, including the intercontinental title match, which is one of the matches I was looking forward to most coming into this show.

In fact, that was probably the match I was most looking forward to after the universal title match.

And I don't know what the hell happened with that finish. It looked like a botch.

We'll get into exactly what happened. I'd be very surprised to find out that that was the plan finish that it went off exactly as they intended.

Now peacock I said I was planning on watching the paper view on peacock and I figure what I would do is give you guys a report on how the viewing experience was.

And I know there were a lot of people who said that it looked just fine. The one major complaint that I saw.
