Well, Elimination Chamber has come and gone.

Thank God.

Now we can finally begin the bill to WrestleMania proper.

One thing I have not been a fan of over the last several weeks on WWE television is there's just lack of excitement and energy for WrestleMania.

And you know something is wrong when the post-show angle on the post-show has more energy

to it than pretty much anything we saw on the actual show tonight.

Because we had a pretty big announcement that came after the Elimination Chamber went

off the air tonight in terms of the

WWE championship.

But it was just, it was striking to me to watch this show.

You know, the elimination chamber is typically a big PLE.

It's become a big PLE over the years.

And it was very striking to me that they were in Chicago tonight.

Chicago is a big wrestling city.

I've said before that I think Chicago may be the best wrestling city in the world,

or at least in the country.

And so I'm watching this show.

And for large parts of the show, I thought it was very telling that I was watching and going, man.

Crowd doesn't seem terribly excited by what they're seeing here. I don't know that I remember

a Chicago crowd, let alone for a big event like this, quite this quiet before. And this has been a

pattern. I've been making note of it on a lot of the WWE shows over the last

several weeks. I was not expecting it tonight for the chamber. But when this show was over,
