Where are you talking to us from in the world?

I am based in Washington, D.C.

at a think tank called the Hudson Institute, which was started

by Hermann Khan in 1963.

And for a long time, it was based up in New York and New York state and then for a period of time in Indiana and then it became clear in the 1980s and 1990s that if we wanted to have any kind of real influence on national policy,

particularly in the area that is a great interest to me,

which is national policy and technology,

that the place to be based was Washington and our nation's capital.
