Oh, This is Oh This month

This month, January of 2025, a young woman named Sherry Frankie released a book called The House of My Mother.

We've covered both her mother and the house of her mother in the past because of both the opposition that we have to family vlogging and because Sherry Frankie's family is Mormon.

Sherry's mother, a 43-year-old woman, is currently serving four to 60 years in prison for

aggravated child abuse of two of her six children, whom she tortured alongside an LDS

approved mental health counselor named Jody Hilderant.

If you've listened to this show in the past, you'll have heard us speak about these women,

and you'll hear us speak about them again.

What Sherry has revealed in her book has implications of familial generational trauma disguised as righteousness

and a deep, almost all-consuming fixation

on the church within her immediate and extended family. All of these themes will come up this

season. However, there was a section of this book that came as a surprise to a lot of people,
