Summary

On this week’s episode, I sit down with Elizabeth Kott and Stephanie Simbari from That’s So Retrograde! We discuss mercury in retrograde, intense dreams, moving in with a partner, a woman’s “biological clock,” guys who are friends with girls, stalking our ex’s new girlfriends and so much more. This episode starts off with a solo part where I talk about being with your partner’s family over the holidays, what my partner and I fight about, and if Justin Timberlake was cheating.

Hey guys, welcome back to We Met at Acne. I'm really excited about this episode.

0:11.2

I went to LA and I got to meet the wonderful women of that so retrograde.

0:17.6

And contrary to popular belief, it's not about Mercury and retrograde. I mean, I'll let you

0:23.7

guys find that out when you listen after this. But I asked what you wanted me to talk about

0:29.5

before this episode and a little solo. And we're not going to spend too much time on this,

0:35.5

but I'm going to address like five of your questions. So the first one was how do you deal with

0:41.4

a partner with different fitness mentalities? It's a great question. I feel like it's really hard

0:47.6

actually to find a partner with the same fitness mentality a lot of the time. Unless you're those

0:52.5

partners who like run together like in the meme. My partner actually likes running. I like classes,

0:59.9

like SLT and all those things. And you don't have to like the same things. I think that's a little

1:07.6

unrealistic. I think you just need to like if you both like working out in general, that's great.

1:13.8

My parents are so like idealistic about it. They go to the same workout class together. But like

1:19.9

that's a little too. I think it can be too much. I think for me when I work out, like I don't want

1:26.0

my partner to be seeing what I'm doing. But I will say Thanksgiving is about to happen. And I know

1:33.9

that my partner and I will be going on a turkey run just honestly just like a very quick run

1:39.9

before we stuff our faces. But in general, I think you know, unless one person refuses to work out

1:45.9

and the other person really likes to, it's not an issue. And you know, I think that eventually,

1:52.0

hopefully, both will work out just for their mental strength. So much more than physical. Because I

1:58.0

think that's really important. Spending the holidays with your partner's family. I think, you know,

2:04.2

especially if it's the first time it can be nerve-wracking. But obviously you were invited for a reason.

2:10.3

They like you or maybe even love you. And just, you know, take a deep breath. Don't drink too much.
