Alpha's head of quantitative Stephen Kress. This guy is the real deal. He's the

founder of the Seeking Alpha Quantum system which removes all human bias from stock analysis and really levels the playing

field for all investors. Steve, it's great to have you back on the show.

Yeah, so before we dive into the juicy and exciting news, you're here to share with all of us today.

Can we, let's just, for the audience members that may not know what quantitative trading or what the quant is or anything like that.

Can you just give them a brief rundown so that they're caught up to speed real quick?

Yeah, absolutely.

You have the world of quantitative analysis now and most people will compare that to general stock picking or what

we call qualitative analysis which is just more conventional. First I have to let you know I used to be an equity research

analysis so I'm very familiar with the process of how an analyst works and I got to tell

you it is a slow manual process to assess one stock at a time.

And it's even slower, we have to compare that stock to the rest of the sector at all the stocks in the sector.

As an analyst, you're manually reviewing balance sheets, cash flow statements, income statements,

PR releases, annual reports, quarterly reports,

and hundreds of financial metrics one at a time.

And you're trying to get an assessment

of what this company looks like based

on all that information. The quant World is a data-driven process,

and we use the power of computers

to process all this information.
