I'm Ruth Alexander. Coming up we'll be looking at

whether this year's Rugby World Cup has seen the highest number of serious

injuries in the tournament's history. Players are much better prepared, they're bigger, they're stronger, they're heavier and faster than they were 20 years ago.

But first, recently you might have seen headlines claiming sausages, bacon and other processed meat are as

potentially cancer causing as smoking or plutonium a radioactive substance.

The headlines came in response to a World Health Organization report

and the coverage of it certainly alarmed some of our listeners

and this newspaper reviewer on BBC news.

Eating just one and a half sausages or two rashes of baked a day could increase your risk of cancer about up to 18%. I am one of those people who reads this stuff,

listens to this stuff, I'm affected today, didn't have my sausage sandwich on the

train from Manchester and all the rest of...

Well because you suddenly thought was how I suddenly thought...
