Hello Charlotte, look, it's January, which always makes me want to scream and it's not because the weather's cold,

it's not because the holiday season's overall that I've stopped drinking for the month.

It's Blue Monday again. It's Blue Monday again.

It is, but it's not just that.

You can be sure that two things are going to happen in January.

Firstly, some media are going to tell me that they can help me get over Blue Monday,

statistically the most miserable day of the year,

but the second thing that's sure to happen is Oxvam

are going to tell me how many of the world's richest people have the same wealth as the

poorest half of the world. And this year it was no different.

As wealthy jet-setters who form part of the very rich 1% in the world gather in Davos, Switzerland

for the World Economic Forum, humanitarian think tank Oxfam has landed an early punch. It says just eight people at the top have more wealth than the poorest 50.

Oxpham says just eight individuals or men own as much wealth as the poorest half of the world's population.

Yeah, we've definitely done this before.

Yes, this year, Oxfam told us that eight of the world's richest people hold the same wealth as the

poorest half of the world's population.

That's around 426.2 billion dollars.
