This is the time of the year when you're watching people post graduation and commencement photos on social media.

I'm seeing kids graduate preschool, middle school, high school, college.

I just saw one of our listeners' son get his PhD.

I mean, this is just really cool stuff, right?

This is the time of the year that makes you sit back and reflect on what it is you thought you were going to do with your life. We always have an odd one in the crowd. So it's kind of odd. I'm excitedly odd. Isn't that strike you as a little bit odd? No, it doesn't strike me as a little bit odd. I don't know about you guys, but one of my personal pet fascinations is finding out what people

thought they were going to do with their life compared to what they're actually doing.

Now, there are some of us who

know from childhood. When I grow up, I want to be a doctor. When I grow up, I want to be a teacher.

When I grow up, I want to be a mechanical engineer, right? We all know at least one person,

don't we, who knew what they wanted to be in childhood. And then they

actually are that thing. I believe Lamar, you might have a son who knew he wanted to be a doctor

when he grew up. Yeah. Yeah. And he is. And he is. Exactly. A doctor. Yeah. So some of us know,

some of us. Alex, my daughter Alex, she wanted to be a vet from the veterinarian.

And she's a vet, yes.

So some of us have known all along what we wanted to be.

And some of us know people who have known all along.

But there are a lot of us walking around in the world who very much thought as we were sitting there

in our cap and gown, whether it was, you know, high school, college, whatever, listening to
