I've got some thoughts. You're going to have some thoughts as well. I know on this. I might, I might upset you with this discussion about quarterback play and what kind of these last few weeks have shown us in both.

I think at the college level and in the NFL, and we'll, I think we might actually disagree on this. Is it weird to call my shot on that?

Listen, I'll disagree with anyone about anything. So you just pick a time and place.

So we'll do that. Colt Kublai is going to join us. Talk through a bit of some Auburn things. Colt breaks it down. Like very few people. If anybody in this business can, we'll talk offensive lines, storylines. I mean, a whole lot of great stuff with him. And then we're going to close by checking in on New Year's resolutions in figuring out.

And Lad of the week question that I find myself asking is we approach NFL championship weekend.

Should we stop writing off so many quarterbacks?

Pretty basic question, right? It's interesting to look at the four quarterbacks who will play championship weekend. I realize we're a college podcast. I'm going to get to this. We're not talking just NFL today. I promise you.

Nobody is going to look at these four quarterbacks and say, wow, this was the group that nobody believed in in the NFL. Because if you look beyond the Brock party thing, you've got Pat Maholmes. You've got Joe Burrow. You might have heard of them. They came off the board in the first round.

Burrow number one. And then Jalen Hertz went in the second round. But it's really incredible to think about where the championship weekend quarterbacks were back in college. Go back to this time. Pat Maholmes, three star recruit who played in an air raid offense that wasn't exactly known for producing NFL quarterbacks at the time.

Joe Burrow wasn't going to start unless he transferred before his fourth year of school. And if you think that he was beating out the Wayne Hassons at Ohio State, you're just wrong and you're misremembering that entire dynamic.

That wasn't going to happen. He had to go to LSU to start wasn't good enough to start at Nebraska, according to a certain Scott Frost. It was between Cincinnati and LSU wild to just think about that.

Jalen Hertz. It's got frost. Oh, man. He's better than what we got. Yes, I do think he's better than Adrian Martinez who has not played a downed college football yet confirmed Jalen Hertz. He gets benched after two years as a starter. He had to watch from the sidelines during his junior year, which is supposed to be big pre draft season.

And that's, that's not when you're, you're supposed to be figuring things out. And Jalen Hertz at that time, you know, 2017, 2018 was anybody saying that he was going to be an early round NFL traffic.

Forget NFL success, but just being an early round NFL traffic. Nobody was saying that. And then of course, obviously Brock party barely a top 1000 recruit nationally in 2018. Shout out to Bama for being one of five power five programs to offer him scholarship.

He has a great four year college career starter at Iowa State, but he's still Mr. irrelevant as the last player selected in the NFL draft. All of those guys had a pretty big college roadblock that they had to overcome.

If it sounds familiar to hear, like to hear those words, he's quarterbacks working through a roadblock. It's because it is we just saw this. That's about it.

Max Duggan, but just playing an actual championship. You know that the old stats had been it. We're not going to go down that road again. Max Duggan scattered power five offers multi year starter. He couldn't even get an offer from in state Iowa. Probably not going to be the guy for his new coach. Then the starter gets hurt.

He steps in. Highsman runner up, LSU to a title game birth, all those things. We talked last year about Bryce young after winning the highest man gets up there, gets on the podium.

And he's like, I was doubted my entire life.

I was like, no, you weren't. You don't know what was better. What was better propaganda? The Georgia player seven, saying you guys thought we'd be seven and six or Bryce Young saying, no one, no one believed in me.

The propaganda that Kirby sold to get Georgia players to believe in that was better probably better than what ever sort of doubt Bryce young had because he's still a small guy. And I'm sure everybody wants.
