Hello, creatives. I'm Joanna Penn. And this is episode number 673 of the podcast and it is Thursday the 2nd of February

2023 as I record this a little early as I am off to the USA more on that coming up.

In today's show I'm talking to Sarah Elizabeth Sawyer who is Choctaw and we talk about terminology

like American Indian, writing diversity,

how to research different points of view and cultures,

and why we need to talk about these things rather than shy away from them if they feel too difficult.

So that's coming up in the interview section.

So there's nothing too exciting in publishing and book marketing.

So straight into my personal update, as I record this, the Kickstarter has a couple of days left,

and it's almost at £20,000, which is around $25,000, US, which is kind of incredible,

considering I put my goal as £1,000.

But by the time this goes out, it will have finished.

So it is too late if you messed out.
