I think that the holidays feel like frozen noses. I love walking with the dog for long periods of time,

hopefully it's snowing and you've got to wrap up warm. So I think a frozen nose is

then sweaty armpits because like you're wrapped up so warm but then you're climbing hamps

to the teeth and you get to the top and you're like and then you can see the breath

but then your nose is still freezing to touch.

This one's a little bit different for me. It's a much more sobering time and

sobering conversation I want to have today with my guest. I had deliberately

took a beat before putting anything out on the shooting in Ovalde, Texas,

where 19 babies, 19 fourth graders, third and fourth graders were killed,

two teachers because I wanted to get a sense of where America was on this.

So here we are a week later and wanting to spend a little bit of time sort of digging into the

culture and the thinking behind gun ownership, the resistance to doing anything about

AR-15s and mass shootings. So I thought I'd call on a friend who is no stranger to this discussion

as he has been a hardened advocate in the Second Amendment space as a well-known talk show host,

Radio Show host, former social worker and former 2020 Republican presidential candidate

who served in the United States House of Representatives. I got him elected in 2010

at Illinois's eighth congressional district, none other than Joe Walsh. Joe is also the host of the
