All right, Patrick, Miguel Sineau, a platoon player now.

Let me go through his day, his afternoon on Thursday.

O for five, four strikeouts, nine left on base,

and the bases were loaded twice, and he struck out both times.

I mentioned on Twitter that I had missed him striking out in the first inning.

I wasn't viewing it then.

And I said I hated to miss a historic event like that, but I only had to wait until

the seventh.

And that was probably his lowest moment of the day when the guy threw him that little cookie hook

and he missed it by four feet.

And you know what?

I talked to Phil earlier today.

That lad is depressed right now, man.

He knows he doesn't have a chance.

I think it was after the third strikeout that he flipped the battle,

or the second strikeout that he flipped the bat away and discussed with himself.

And then, of course, he struck out twice more with runners on base.

And I think it's a very apt platoon right now.

Kepler batting 199 plays against right-handers and Miguel

plays against lefties and they both fail miserably, but you got to play them sometime, right?

So I give Rocco some credit for being slightly balzy here by saying, okay, we're done with this.

We're not playing him every day.
