This week, Taylor Lorenz, the author of Extremely Online and a journalist at the Washington Post released an interview with the creator of Libs of Tik-Tok.

Libs of Tik-Tok is a Twitter account that scrapes Tik-Tok for left-leaning creators, mostly queer teachers and librarians, and then

posts it to Twitter adding hostile, mocking, or derogatory commentary to it.

Libs of TikTok's tweets have been followed by bomb threats at children's hospitals and schools and death threats to educators.

Chia Raichik, the woman behind the account, has bragged, quote,

they, the media, made up the term stochastic terrorist for us. So honestly, like, that makes me feel really important.

Stocastic terrorism is defined as political or media figures publicly demonizing a person or group in such a way that it inspires supporters of that public figure to commit a violent act against the target of their speech.
