Two people were arrested after a man serving a life sentence escaped from prison this weekend

Bresoria County Sheriff's Department said,

those two people arrested in connection with an inmate who escaped from the

Brazoria County prison, including the inmate's mother who was driving his car, the story from

K-H-O-U, Channel 11.

Turning out of this story, the manhunt continues this morning for a convicted child abuser who escaped from

prison. We're told Robert Yancey Jr was last seen yesterday out of prison in

Brazoria that's about 60 miles south of Houston are Stephanie Whitfield is following this

developing story for us this morning and Stephanie we understand you just

received brand new information. That's right Victoria police say they found the white niece on that

inmate was last seen in and a woman was alone in the car at the time. Victoria

police believe it's his mother. She's been taken into custody, but now Robert Yancey Jr.

is still on the run.

Yancey is 39 years old.

He was convicted of continuous sexual abuse

of a child in Victoria County.

That's why he was serving a life sentence without parole.

But he escaped from the Clemens unit in Bresoria

sometime yesterday afternoon.

He was last seen at the prison at 338.38 PM in a white Nissan

Versa.
