The last episode was about me and my mom.

And today we're going to hear about another mother-daughter relationship,

something entirely different.

Shirley Wagner is a listener who wrote to me and wanted to tell me her story.

And she told me that she and her mom had always kind of had this like really tense relationship.

Her mom was a dietician at a hospital and she was always working double shifts and weekends.

And, you know, she just wasn't home a lot.

And when she was home, she was just always kind of a big grump.
