All right, welcome to the PHLY Sixers Show, brought to you by True Mark Financial and Rothman Orthopedics. I've got Rich over here to my right, Fran over here to my left. So we have a couple of new faces for you to yell at for our draft takes. I am very appreciative of that. Hey guys doing. I'm good, man. Now that we're kind of in your office, in your arena. how has the last month been? You know, a lot of exciting draft talk, a lot of civil discourse, right? Yeah. No, look, in all honesty, and we'll get into this, this has been one of the more heated draft debates that I've been a part of, which is funny because I've been doing this now for, I think 2009 was maybe the first draft that I covered. Okay. But the stakes are obviously. You're pretty old, man. Look, trust me, I feel it every freaking day. But it is, the stakes are very high. Like, there's pressure now that maybe wasn't there when we covered the draft earlier on. And there's some very strong opinions. It is great to be back covering the draft. You know, we had that time really from, well, Ben was 2016. Markell was 2017. Right. After that, both because I stopped at that draft Express in 2017, but also the draft just didn't, it wasn't a big day-to-day portion of our lives where we got out of it. So it's nice to be back. I did forget how strongly people have opinions on us, though.

1:13.6

All right.

1:15.6

Let me start by asking you a question to kind of dip my toe into the draft thing,

1:20.6

because I actually want to ask Fran about this as well.

1:24.6

As you have mentioned, I have listened to enough shows that you think this is a draft with

1:31.2

Cooper Flag in the top tier, Dylan Harper in the second tier, and then a bunch of guys that

1:37.1

you can, you know, it depends, it's like an eye of the beholder type of thing, right?

1:40.9

Yep.

1:41.9

Great way to describe it.

1:44.2

Is there a player who has, let me ask you, of the players that are available, do you think

1:49.1

one player has the highest, let's say, star upside?

1:52.5

Let's say, and let me define Star as Ben Simmons when he was an All-Star, like, hopefully

1:58.7

they don't flatline like Ben did.

2:00.6

Maybe Tyrese Maxie two years ago, the 23-24 season.

2:04.2

Maybe like the 20th, the 25th best player in the league.

2:07.2

Sure.

2:07.4

Not like Janus Star Upside, but like below that.

2:10.4

A low-end All-Star?

2:11.7

Is there a player in that three to seven range that you think has the highest odds of that happening? I think I'd probably go with Trey. Okay. I think Tray Johnson, you know, just his sheer shot-making potential, I think gives him a pretty high floor, but also gives him a pretty high ceiling, like being able to shoot, and specifically the diversity of the shot, whether that's offball, whether that's, you know, shooting off of a screen, shooting off the dribble. He really has every shot in his arsenal. And he's not a, he's not a complete zero as a passer. Not to bring up any names, but he's not a complete zero as a passer. Man, you're already getting on it, too. And I think he has some physical tools. Duck it already. I think he has some physical tools that he could grow into, I'm not going to ever say being a good

2:52.4

defender because that takes so much commitment and so much attention detail that he just hasn't shown

2:56.3

up to this point. But I think he at least has, like, you know how James Harden at times you'd be like,

3:01.8

well, at least when he switches on to bigger guys, he can kind of hold his own because he's big.
