I'm Maddie Mitchell and I'm your host today and always because well, quite frankly,

this is literally my podcast. So who else is going to host it happy freaking Monday it is Monday December something

I can't be bothered to look at what the date will be it's the Wednesday before so it's too many

days away for me to quickly do that mental math don Don't judge me. I hope you're having a

fabulous Monday. I hope you're weeks off to a really good start. I hope you had a fabulous weekend.

And you're feeling well rested and rejuvenated and ready to tackle whatever life might

throw at you this week. And I don't think that that's asking too much of your favorite podcast

host. I am currently recording this at Satan's hour, three o'clock in the afternoon, which is

crazy. It's crazy that I'm doing this. I, the backstory here, because of course you care and

asked, is I yesterday, yesterday was December 10th, I had this whole plan for the day of just me being so

productive like a productivity machine a monster I was going to get so much done I had it all planned out

I was really productive on Monday too so it was just like I was just like go go go like let's just

like keep fucking going and my goal for this week is to record all of the episodes for the rest of the year because

I know in the second half of the month it'll just get crazy and busy and I'll be around

loved ones and like, quite frankly, won't want to just sit down in solidarity and record an

episode.

You get it.

So I had made it my mission to batch three episodes this week.

And I was going to record two of them yesterday. And then I recorded this morning with Tori for

the last episode of the year, which is always the 2024 pop culture recap and the predictions for
