I woke up this morning at like 3 o'clock in the morning because our house was filled with smoke.

And for those of you who were following the news back in June, late June and July, you know, that there's been

a huge wildfire raging just west of Colorado Springs, certain parts of Colorado Springs,

had to be evacuated and both Craig and I live right

against the National Forest on the west side.

You can't get much more west than our backyards and which puts us

kind of directly in the line of an advancing fire. Really grateful to say it's not here,

not that close. We may hear some of the big plains going over this morning,

dropping chemicals and suppressants on the fire and but it smells a little smoky in the studio

here as well so just to give some context to the recording this morning.

This is taking place in the midst of a wildfire burning on the outside of town here.

Our cars are actually packed with certain valuables in case we are placed on a evacuation notice. But otherwise, I'm glad to be here.
