Craig you said something last week about ideas and ideas are not toys that we play with. They have power, they have impact.

Let me give an example of that. There was a man sitting in the, I think it was either the British

Museum of the British Library in the early part of the last century forming ideas about economics.

And what's interesting is that he was in London at the time

in a free society in a rather affluent society writing a

proposition for the Communist Party. His name was Carl Marx and his ideas were not idle toys. His ideas

actually ended up framing the worldview of nations and certainly of the leaders of nations and those

particular set of ideas whatever else you might think about them are without question in terms of human life the most costly ideas that have

ever been put forward in the world. I mean you have to at least accept the tally count of

history that the cost of human life at the hands of communist idea holders has been far far greater than any other government

or ideological system.

And so ideas matter.

The ideas that we hold have enormous consequences.

framing your convictions. We want to come back to what we promised we were going to get

on to at the end of the pacifist broadcast which is how did Jesus look at government?
