named Guru Nanak Devjee stepped into the religious divide between Hindus and Muslims with

This new faith blended much of Indian Hindu faith and culture with a Muslim devotion to monotheism.

and that liberation from that cycle comes through meditation on God's name, Nam, as well as

Sikhism, like many Eastern religions, relies heavily on the guidance of gurus.

In Sikhism, there were ten gurus that guided the theology and the beliefs of the Sikh religion.

The last and final guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, died in 1708, and declared

himself to be the last human guru. All authority now of the Sikh religion is transferred to their

sacred texts, Grant Sahib. Today, Sikhs gather in Gurdwara's to read from this writing and to live by
