I'm not talking about the direct impact,

but the effect it can have on how you feel about your life,

your future and your place in the world.

I was a young girl in Afghanistan

during some very difficult years.

But there were things we learned to do

to keep ourselves happy, hopeful,

and have a sense of a wider world.

That was why I was particularly interested

to hear this conversation between sister Dagnigium,

who is a Buddhist nun, originally from Vietnam,

and Eduardo, a young man who wrote to us from Venezuela.
