Welcome to the Total Soccer Show and the second of our 2022 World Cup previews in which we'll focus on the big one, Group B.

It's a group in which only one team has previously won the World Cup.

It's the nation that tends to get me fired up.

It's the nation that invented the get me fired up. It's the nation invented the beautiful game. And also vented America, at least that's what I'll claim.

That's England, by the way, and I'll stop spinning that yarn. And instead, I move on to discuss

Iran. The AFC Hope Falls have only ever won two World Cup matches. And it gives me no

glee to note that one of those games

eliminated the USMNT. Yes, the US are back after eight long years. You might even say

their talent pool is in arrears, but we have hope, we have belief, and we have pretty good

grounds to believe Greg's team can make it to the knockout rounds. And before we get to the

Group B details, there's one more team to mention, let's not

forget Wales.

The Welsh have the potential to make quite a scene, particularly if they get a pre-match

talk from Michael Sheen.
