Well, listen, you lose your first game against Saudi Arabia

and all the chirping starts.

But I'm telling you right now, any rumors of Argentina's demise have been greatly exaggerated and certainly any talk of

messy going quietly into this Doha night with what is really going to be his, let's be honest,

his last World Cup.

Yeah, you can put those to rest.

He is bringing it against his second goal of the tournament.

You recall that in the first game, scored against Saudi Arabia in that loss, which

started all the talk and the chit chat, and comes back tonight and scores the first goal

which ends up being the winning goal against Mexico.

Took him a while, but ultimately he produced a moment of magic.

Not your magic that you normally associate necessarily with Messy in terms of

driven through a bunch of people and slaloming and doing all that kind of stuff

It was a shot from outside the box and it probably ends up being

Predictable in that Mexico was very very difficult to break down And so sometimes when you have that

type of situation a shot from outside of the box that can unlock a defense. It's

set up nicely and there's so many things that you can talk about when it comes to messy but that first touch in order to get himself free to hit that shot with his left foot was just magical and you could see in that moment in the way that he reacted how much it meant to him

How much it meant to his teammates and that he was feeding off of that environment. I was jealous that I was not at the game we were here at our set here down at the Cornish on the bay here and just seeing those pictures hearing everything that was going on.
