out in Doha, Tony Cascarino, also out here alongside me, Alison Rudd, back at home reflecting

on another surprising day at the tournament, which includes Germany losing their opening game

for a second straight world cup defeat by Japan. A result that leaves them at big risk of

back-to-back group stage exits a half-time tactical switch from the Japanese from a 4-2-3-1-2-3-4-2-1

was the big difference. Tony and I were both at this game as Japan battled back from behind to

earn a world deserved. Two won win thanks to Tacuma Asano's finish. It was an incredible

atmosphere. I've got to say personally. The Japanese fans are incredibly passionate. They

came out in numbers. Plenty of German fans as well. They were brilliant in the first half.

Japan just made it way too easy for them. They absolutely dominated. I think they had around

80% possession, you know, 15 or so shots in the first half. You could only see one winner,
