Yeah. Well, France are through to the World Cup final. They beat Belgium 1-0. I'm sure all of you have seen the game.

Let's chat about France first, Alex, then, as the successors, the progressors, the winners, far less in terms of possession, but far more in terms of shots. So how did this game pan out for you, do you think? Because throughout the first half, they had a real spell of pressure,

and I think Philippe as well, you were thinking that edge of the seat stuff at that point,

Belgium looked at the stronger sight, didn't they? I had a very knowing look from Alex that lasted about five seconds until I said, I know. Well, saying that, we know what Alex's knowing looks really mean this World Cup,

which is nothing, isn't it, Alex?

No, I mean, those 25 minutes were looking at quite worrying for France initially.

Not that they were playing particularly badly, it's just that if there was such a sustained

period of pressure, for a while it looked like he was only going to go one way.

Yeah. France managed to settle a bit and then actually started to assert a bit more kind of

attacking prowess into the game and playing some amazing football as well.

Yeah, a lot of it was nice. This game had the feel of the big game, didn't it, in that there

was one goal, it was a centreback, it was a set piece, it was a header, and a goalkeeper is a probable man of the match. I think, yeah, I mean, I think there are probably three contenders for a man of the match for France for me. Larisse did have an excellent game, very, very confident. He made some good saves, but he also came out and commanded his box really well.

I thought Rafael Varan defended superbly.
