Next, we launched out on a course of vigorous action, the first step of which is a personal

house cleaning which many of us have never attempted.

Though our decision was a vital and crucial step, it could have little permanent effect

unless at once followed by a strenuous effort to face and to be rid of the things in ourselves

which had been blocking us.

Our looker was but a symptom, so we had to get down to causes and conditions.

So our third step decision, to turn your will and life over to God.

I think in the beginning it's not unreasonable to look at this as I'll make a decision to

be helpful if you don't believe in God.

Sometimes the step looks too big on the wall.

In the book there's a process to it, and if you can make it as easy as possible, I'd suggest

I saw it through the experience, I saw that that's what was happening.

I didn't think of myself as turning my will and life over to God, but when I looked

back on it, I could see that literally that's what was happening as I was doing some

of the things that I was doing.

You know what Rick is talking about here is that there is no excuse to not do this.
