All right. I've been going through the A&G archives.

Found a fun clip from 2019, really liked this segment.

This segment is about Joe Getty and his wife visiting Oregon.

They went up there to visit their son, and along the way, Joe had a lot of different adventures.

He went on a floating golf course, which is really cool.

He went rafting, and he did some other stuff.

But the thing is about Joe and Jack, they're so good at storytelling. There are slices of life stories can be just compelling and also very funny at the same time. And this was definitely one of

them. I felt like this story got better as it went on. You know, it starts slow and it builds and builds, and then you're laughing your head off by the end of the segment. I just felt like in this segment, Joe did a really good job of painting a picture for the listener, and it definitely made me laugh. So let's go back to July of 2019.

When Joe Getty and his wife went to visit their son in the state of Oregon.

Judy and I, we explored Bend, Oregon, a place we love very much where our son lives,

and the kayaked and then played golf and hung out with him. Oh oh you know what jack you'd love this um we did a little pass the guitar with the me and my son

and his songwriting partner darian always a good time and just uh yeah drank and and played songs

into the night it's absolutely fantastic and then uh went on to Cordelaine, Idaho, and also

checked out Sand Point, Idaho, which is stunningly beautiful. Coraline is too, but, and we had

a hell of a good time, but it became obvious to me one thing. Coralane is not a huge population

center, and it's pretty dang chilly in the wintertime, but in the summer, it's just idyllic, it's gorgeous.

It's this amazing lake.

It's got rivers running in directions, woods and mountains, and just people are there, boating and sunbathing and playing in every way humans do.

It's a vacation paradise.

If you're trying, especially if you're, you know, living in a hot part of the country, you want to escape the heat.
