| 0:44.4 | discipleship is I think even as I said that word, some of us, maybe a lot of us actually think |
| 0:49.2 | discipleship is for people that just got saved. It's the new beginners thing. It's like people that just follow Lord. But how many understand discipleship is not just for when you start following Jesus. It's the lifetime. It's the rest of our life. We are disciples of Jesus. And so we're actually starting a series next week called Life of a Disciple. It'll go for about three or four weeks through the month of May. And then in July, |
| 1:12.2 | we're going to cover the topic of prayer. We're going to have two or three different angles on |
| 1:16.0 | the whole topic of prayer and the role of our life and being a disciple and how vital and important |
| 1:21.0 | that is. And then in September, we're going to talk about the word. We're going to dive into the |
| 1:25.2 | Bible in regards to where the Bible plays in our life of a disciple. And we live in a heavily Bible illiterate time and culture right now. |
| 1:33.5 | So we really want to go hard after that. And then at the end of the year, somewhere in November, |
| 1:37.6 | December, we're going to spend a few weeks on Acts chapter 10, verse 38, which Jesus went about doing |
| 1:43.2 | good and healing the sick, raising the dead, |
| 1:45.9 | cleansing the leopards. And we want to take that verse and unpack it even more. And the words |
| 1:50.5 | doing good actually, the word actually mean philanthropy, philanthropic work. So I love that Jesus |
