in your work. Today, I want to bring everything together with a simple Bible study. And you

could use this teaching resource in your own life simple Bible study. And you could use this teaching

resource in your own life, of course, but you could use it with a men's or women's Bible study,

a small group, even talking to your kids and students about their future. So first, I'm going to

give you two truths to remember. Okay, two truths to remember. And then one that I believe will totally change the way that you view your work.

And I want to break down these statements biblically and exegetically and help you apply them as well.

The first, number one is God designed work before the fall.

I've alluded to this a couple of times.

people not to be lazy, not to load their work, but where do we get that idea exegetically?

Exegesus is the practice of exegeting. You can almost hear the word excavating, two different

words, but still the same picture, pulling out the truth from the text and properly interpreting

the Bible. Well, Genesis 2.15 is where we find this. Then the Lord God took man and he gave him

basically a role in the garden. The Bible says he put him in the garden of Eden to, and then two things,

to cultivate it and to keep it. To cultivate it and to keep it. The Hebrew word for

cultivate is abad, and it means to serve, and it's to labor. And the idea is to labor in worship.
