We need to talk some Rangers here as they had what I thought was a very impressive showing in their weekend series at Houston.

As they were able to take two of three, the loss came in extra innings.

They were leading.

They had an opportunity to win that game.

And even though the Rangers are just five and five in their last 10 and have hovered around that

500 mark not able to get over the top, not get any type of run to get them a couple of games

over, they still find themselves squarely in the wildcard race.

Guys seem to be playing a little bit better that they need to play better like Adolies

Garcia.

Corey Seeger is just giving us everything he has.

It still feels like a little bit of a painful experience for him,

painful just watching him run and just try to do the things that you know he can do.

But other guys are stepping up.

Marcus Simeon's been great. Wyatt Lankford a pretty good series. And White Langford actually, nine games in July, he's got a 425 on base percentage. So you feel like

he's getting back into the groove a little bit. And of course, last year his rookie season,

he played his best baseball down the final stretch. So even though record-wise,

they haven't made much of a run here, it does feel like the momentum, whatever you want to call

it, the team is playing better heading into the All-Star break, and hopefully it carries

over into the second half. Yeah, the record, you know, remaining stagnant, but you look at the individual pieces

and you start to feel a little bit better.

Three and a half games out of the wild card, Seattle right now at 51 and 45.

So you know what you have to do in the second half of the season.
