Cowboys Training Camp, like I said, begins on Monday, and a couple of things we want to get to here.

One, DJ, a follow-up from yesterday as we talked a little bit about the problem that NFL teams are having

with the second round picks from this past April draft.

As 29 of them are still unsigned, we had Carson Sweshinger sign, we had Jaden Higgins sign,

they both got guaranteed deals.

One other person has signed their contract.

That is 49ers pick Alfred Collins. He signed his deal. Now, he did not

get a fully guaranteed deal. He did not get his full contract guaranteed, but he got a good

deal of it. He was the 43rd overall pick, and of the slotted 10.3 million, he got nine of it guaranteed.

So that's 87% of the contract guaranteed compared to under 80% last year, which is not a fully guaranteed contract, but it's a step in the right direction.

So now we wonder, will the rest of the second round dominoes fall, include? it's not a fully guaranteed contract, but it's a step in the right direction.

including Donovan as a rockoo for the Cowboys?

I would think so because I would imagine that the teams, whether it's sincere or not, are going to start being applying extra pressure of like, okay, we're right up against it here

with needing you to be in camp.

You know, this isn't something that is going to benefit us in the long term. And maybe that's

coaches going to owners and telling them, look, this, I don't know that this is a battle worth

fighting at this point now because we are getting to a point to where it's going to negatively

impact the team. We need to deal with this now. And fighting over guarantees is just not something

that coaches probably want to hear about at this point in the year. Right. And yeah, I mean,

if you're telling me that, you know, for even Alfred Collins, they were fighting over guaranteeing

78% versus 88%.
