So first of all, congratulations.

You and your team recently recorded your 400th episode of Today Explained.

So before we talk about the podcast, I want to talk about you and your background a little bit.

You're from Canada.

At 16, you moved to Los Angeles and then you relocated from New York to Washington for your job at VOX.

This is correct.

So as a Canadian via LA and New York with a fondness for pop culture and museums, what's it like following the Daily News cycle in Donald Trump's Washington?

Oh, wow. That is a great first question, a hard-hitting first question.

You know, it's overwhelming, but we try to not get too sucked into the Donald Trumpiness of it because it's important to remember that in Coat-Divoid,

they're not even thinking about Donald Trump.

And I picked that country specifically because I went there for a friend's wedding and I was like, oh, this is what life is like outside of the bubble of DC or New York DC.

Media or American politics.

So I think because we have listeners all around the world, we try to remember that yes, we are here because there's a lot of things that need explaining right now as far as policies as far as controversies.
