Good morning, everyone, and welcome back to another mornings with the Master's, where we

devote ourselves to the Lord, daily with you. Good morning, you guys. Good morning, indeed. We are

picking up with day five of our modern warfare devotional in the Bible app. There's a link to that

in the description if you guys want to fall along with us. And as always, I'm going to read the

scripture, then, towards going to pick up the Divo. Let's do that. The scripture is Hebrews,

chapter four, verses 14 through 16. And it says this, so then, since we have a great high priest to

his entered heaven, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This high

priest of ours understands our weaknesses. For he faced all of the same testines we do yet,

he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive

his mercy and we will find grace to help us when we need it the most. The devotional is titled

Fighting and Invisible Enemy. And it says this, by studying the Bible, we learn everything we

need to know about combating an invisible lethal enemy. If you have put your faith and trust in

Jesus, you have been given the armor necessary for combating our enemy within the spiritual realm.

But knowledge does not lead to victory. Application does. The very first step in combating the

enemy is to humble yourself before God and prayer. Pray for strength, wisdom, and courage

for the battle at hand. Second, open your Bible and speak God's word out loud against the enemy.

There are no words that you or I could say that contain the power to gain victory over our

enemy. Only God's words can. When Jesus was at the end of a 40-day fast, the enemy went to the

desert and tried three times to tempt him and to sin. The enemy intentionally waited until the

last day of Jesus' fast, guaranteeing that he would be at the weakest moment in his humanity.

When Jesus spoke against Satan, he used his father's words each time. And each time it silenced

the tempter. The final step is to verbally command the enemy in the name of Jesus to leave.
