Summary

The Nats busted out 15 hits in their 10-6 victory on Monday night in San Diego. Mark (From Petco Park) & Al begin though with an update on Keibert Ruiz, who was hit in the head by a caroming foul ball in the dugout. Ruiz went to get a CAT scan after the game and there is not yet an update on his status. (07:45) James Wood crushed his 22nd homer of the season against the team that traded him away in the Juan Soto deal. Wood had three hits in the win and now has six homers this month. C.J. Abrams, who began his career in San Diego, had a trio of hits as well in the leadoff spot. (10:10) Luis Garcia Jr. had two hits and his hitting streak is now up to 12 games. Garcia's OPS this month is an impressive .856. (13:00) Brady House had two hits himself as he has completed his first week in the Big Leagues. So far House has 6 hits in 27 at-bats since getting called up. (17:45) Mitchell Parker had a solid outing as he gave up three runs in six plus innings of work. It seemed like Parker was done after the 6th, but he yielded a leadoff solo homer to Jake Cronenworth in the bottom of the 7th to end his start on a sour note. Parker began his evening on the right foot as the Padres did not score off of him until the bottom of the 4th. (23:15) Zach Brzykcy made a mess of Washington's seven run lead entering the bottom of the 9th. Brzykcy gave up a homer to Fernando Tatis Jr. and Kyle Finnegan had to come in to record the final out.
