Hi, this is Rachel McElroy. Hello, this is Griffin McElroy. And this is wonderful. I guess it is. I guess it's pretty okay. It's just...

0:26.5

Oh man. It's just... They did E3 and Nintendo did it. It's thing they got out there and they said Mario's back he's jumping around. All your friends are here. They said Mario, Yoshi, his dinosaur friend, the big monkey donkey Kong.

0:44.5

Even the evil one, Wario, they had... But no animal crossing again. And so I guess I'm just feeling a little aimless.

0:52.5

I said Rachel, you get your husband for one more year. Yeah, there's sort of commuted my sentence. And so I'm just sitting here trying to think of... I'm trying to remember I guess how other people get excited about things.

1:04.5

Hey, you know what you could do. Oh, yeah. You know how you like to... In the game, you like to fish and get apples and stuff? Oh yeah. You could do that in the real life. Yeah, I could go get apples and fish.

1:18.5

And they do other stuff too though. Like sometimes your house gets dirty and you have to press buttons to clean it up. And it's like... No, that sounds miserable. It's a problem.

1:28.5

I like doing it in the game because that house is more important than my real house. No, I'm just like... When you're without happiness, I guess.

1:40.5

Yeah, I know. Without anything, be happy about. But I've had five in a row so far since they did the last one. So I guess I'll just keep powering through and putting on a brave face, a fake face, a fake smile when you know behind it. I just think of all my friends.

1:56.5

This podcast must be difficult for you to do. Oh, it's so hard. Speaking of. This is going to be a weird episode.

2:06.5

We had kind of a busy weekend and then I am leaving to go on tour tomorrow and I have been slam jammed, getting all the stuff ready for the tour and the usual podcast stuff.

2:16.5

So this episode is going to be a little bit weird. Rachel and I were texting each other this afternoon like, hey, I don't think I'm going to be able to do a whole episode.

2:25.5

And so what we've settled on here is a little special. Maybe if we pivot and call it a special, people will think it's very special.

2:34.5

What are we doing this this week? We are currently calling it, I believe, a summer spectacular. A summer preview. I like it better because it's not quite summer yet, but we're really looking forward to this.

2:45.5

I'll slowly zoom if we want to do a summer spectacular. Exactly. So this is like the build up to it. And then we're going to live sweet the whole summer.

2:52.5

And just talk about some of our favorite summer stuff, kind of like we did on the Thanksgiving episode, but no need to make these things compete.

2:58.5

Then always have to be a big battle royale. Sometimes you can just appreciate a lot of different things.

3:03.5

And before we do that, though, you got to see any small wonders. I do actually. And this is kind of summer theme. Okay.

3:10.5

It happened very recently. Okay. The Stanley Cup was awarded. Hey, the Stanley Cup was given to the best. I love the idea of it being awarded. We've looked at all the hockey teams performances. And there was one that really stood out.

3:24.5

I mean, isn't that kind of what the playoffs is? Yeah, that's probably fair. The cool thing about the Stanley Cup. So it's been around since 1907.

3:32.5

And more or less every year since it was awarded with the exception of a few off years, they engraved the name of the winning team each individual player on the cup.

3:44.5

How do you future prove that? Because it seems like they're going to hit a point where it's like shoot. They had a ring every year.

3:50.5

So you know, that looks kind of like a layer cake. Yeah. Well, they don't add a ring every year. But every time they run out of space, they had another ring to the bottom.
