Hello and welcome to Women with Balls, where I Katie Balls speak to today as trailblazers.

My guest today was recently seen on social media being bundled out of an LSE lecture hall in the face of protests. This protest, she argues, is symptomatic of a new, modern type of

anti-Semitism, which is percolated into Western society. The scenes resulted in calls by

Priti Patel for a full investigation. Born in Israel, she is no stranger to conflict,

recalling violence growing up, and the consistent presence of military operations.

This informed of resilience that she was taken to her later career.

She left the country briefly as the Jewish commissary, working in Atlanta, Georgia,

before returning to study law.

A political career soon beckoned, and she joined the Centre-Rite Party, Le Cud, in 2009,

where she stayed for 11 years and went on to become deputy foreign minister.

In Parliament, where she was a youngest ever member, she was a staunch advocate for women's rights,

chairing the committee on the status for women and making waves for her campaigning tactics.

Last year, her appointment as the first

woman to ever become Israeli ambassador to the UK was met with protests from some British Jews.

800 of him signed a petition, criticising her views on Palestine. But unfazed, she says that her role

is diplomatic, not political, and about demonstration that Israel is a long-term ally to the United Kingdom.
