Hello and welcome to Women with Balls, but I hate to Bulls speak to today's trailblazers.

Born and raised in Manchester, my guest today has been a prominent figure in the Labour Party

for many years. Her career in politics started on the 1997 general election campaign,

Her leadership in campaigns and innovative projects in Manchester paved the way for her political breakthrough at a by-election in 2012,

when she became the first female Labour MP to represent a Manchester constituency.

Her rise in the Labour Party saw her manage Ed Miliband's successful

leadership campaign. She has since held a number of key shadow cabinet positions under Ed Miliband,

Jeremy Corbin and later Kirstama. Following Labor's victory in July, she was appointed

leader of the House of Commons and Lord President of the Council. In this role, she chairs

the newly formed Modernisation Committee

tasked for reforming how Parliament works.
