Last year I had the incredible privilege of speaking to Jill Christina Vest, who's

responsible for commissioning a mural on the side of her house in Oakland honoring the

women who gave back to their community as part of the Black Panther movement.

I also had the opportunity to speak to some of the women who inspired the mural.
