Hello and welcome to this special and field rap show all about sexism in football.

This is the second installment of a two-part special about the experiences at women in football both as

fans and as journalists and if you haven't listened already you can catch up to

our first show which we recorded last year with some of the people that are in this room and

also some other friends where we talked about the experience of female fandom

and how women experience watching the Reds

differently to their male counterparts which was a lot of fun and I've got well one

of the same hunts here on audio but one just observing in the form of Harriet Pryor

and but today's going to be a bit different because we're going to be

focusing on the experiences of women and of sexism in the sports in a professional

context and what it's like working as a journalist, a broadcaster, a commentator, essentially a

woman trying to have a voice in an industry that is still male-dominated and often very unkind.

So joining me I have got Emma Sanders who is a BBC sport broadcast journalist.

I've got Natasha Henry, a freelance sports

journalist, Lizzie Doyle, who is a radio producer, and there's me as well. There's me.

I'm Amelia Bonner and I work for Live Full Echo and also host on the Unfield Rapa.

And one time I tried to do a bit of

sport journalism in Barcelona and got told to die. So we'll talk about that a bit

but I mean other than that I try not to dip my toe in anything other than the Anfield
