I am so happy to be in the scriptures with you today.

Let me tell you something.

There's this one reason why I love this book so much.

I've said many, many times that Jesus Christ saved my soul and the Word of God saved my mind.

Can anybody go with me there?

Son of God saved my soul.

The Word of God totally bathed my mind at 16, verse 6.

And they, and when we have a they on this page, they at this point is going to be Paul, Silas, Timothy, and Luke, this band of evangelists moving around the region according to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, which you'll see right here on the page,

and they went through the region of Phrygia and Galasia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit

to speak the word in Asia. It would be later, but not right now.

Verse 7, when they had come to Mycia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of

Jesus did not allow them. I'm reading back this far, even though our text is not until a few

verses later, because I want you to see how distinctive the leadership of the Holy Spirit was to get

them where he wanted them. We want to be led of the spirit, led by him, directed by him,

go where he leaves us. And it says, so in verse A, so passing by Mycia, they went down to

Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night, a passing by Micea, they went down to Troas.

A man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him saying, come over to Macedonia and help us.

Verse 10.

And when Paul had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go on into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. Now we're picking up on the portion that's going to lead right into

where we're heading. Verse 11, so setting sail from Torres, we made a direct voyage to Samothrace,

and on the following day to Neopolis and from there to Philippi
